Award-winning tech PR agency Hot Tin Roof is marking its 20th anniversary with a series of new hires and internal promotions, indicating the Edinburgh-based business is on track for further growth.
Founded in 2002 by Sarah Lee, Hot Tin Roof has supported an estimated 200 companies over two decades, with current clients including SSE Energy Solutions, the National Robotarium, CivTech, AND Digital and Logan Energy.
The team is now 11-strong, with the appointment of former STV journalist Rod Scott as a Senior Account Manager and former Los Angeles-based advertising strategist Tobias Cragg as Account Executive.
These hires follow hot on the heels of the arrival of Catriona Mackenzie as a Senior Account Manager. Catriona previously managed communications for the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and has worked as a press manager for MPs and MSPs.
Recent internal promotions include Jen Richards becoming Account Director. Jen has been with Hot Tin Roof for almost a decade. Steven Herd, who joined in 2020, has become a Senior Account Manager.
Last month (June) Hot Tin Roof won a major industry accolade, picking up the Scottish B2B campaign award at the PRCA Dare Awards. Hot Tin Roof won for its eleven-day “Road to Renewables” PR tour of the UK, driving home a message of sustainability for SSE Energy Solutions ahead of the COP26 climate summit.
Hot Tin Roof founder and Managing Director Sarah Lee said:
“I am very proud of the 20 years of campaigns we have delivered for our clients at Hot Tin Roof. Since setting out as a freelancer the business has continued to grow and thrive, and our latest promotions and hires show we are on track for further expansion.
“Our experience in working with tech innovators and energy pioneers, coupled with our excellent contacts in the media, means we remain ready to deliver the right messages to the right audiences in an incredibly competitive environment.”
