The cats at Hot Tin Roof had the pleasure of Darcey’s company for a week of work experience. In between making herself useful and learning what a PR Agency does, Darcey found time to answer a quick Q&A for us. Here’s what she had to say:
If money was no object, what would you spend your day doing?
I would spend my day walking around New York City at Christmas time, browsing in every shop wasting no time looking at price tags.
What is your favourite form of public transport?
I have been to London once and I love the tube. I enjoyed the buzz of the underground in the morning and I could spend the whole day just traveling from station to station.
What was the first CD you bought with your own money?
I remember buying a “Ting Tings” album after seeing them win an award on TV the night before.
What was your favourite subject at school?
My favourite subject at school currently is Art, ever since a young age I have enjoyed drawing and painting and I like spending my free time with a pencil and paper (not writing an English essay).
Did you have a nickname growing up?
There aren’t many nicknames for Darcey although my mum does call me ‘Darce’ on the odd occasion but that one never caught on with my friends.
Tell us about the last good book you read?
I’ve just recently finished a book called ‘Under Your Skin’ by Sabine Durrant, which I really enjoyed as I love stories of the crime/murder mystery type genre. I would describe it almost as a modern day Poirot, although don’t expect a moustache and a funny Belgian accent.
Lunchtime! What do you do and where do you do it?
Back at school my closest lunch options are a Tesco and a Subway so I usually go down the packed lunch route, but I’ve decided to take advantage of the sandwich shops surrounding the office for the week. Currently I have only indulged in a wrap from ‘Pret a Manger’ and I can’t say I won’t be going back.
