Q.1 What is your biggest learning from the past 12 months?
Human expertise and creativity remain essential in harnessing AI’s power effectively. While it can automate tasks and provide valuable insights, at the end of the day AI still requires human guidance and intuition to ensure its outputs are of use to the person reading them.
Q.2 What has been you favourite campaign?
It’s tough to single out just one campaign – each project I’ve been involved in has its own unique merits, challenges, and rewards! One of my most memorable was working with a startup that developed an innovative menstrual product specifically designed for outdoor adventurers. Collaborating with entrepreneurs and helping them bring their vision to life is incredibly exciting and fulfilling.
Q.3 What was your first job?
When I was 16 I took on a job shunting trolleys in a supermarket car park for the Summer. It was a humble beginning, but it taught me valuable lessons about responsibility, work ethic, and the importance of paying attention to detail i.e. try not to hit any cars!
Q.4 What PR trends do you think will take off in 2024?
In an era of information overload and shortening attention spans, I think that the ability to craft compelling, engaging, and persuasive copy will become increasingly valuable – and scarce! While channels and platforms for communication continue to evolve, the power of well-written content remains timeless.
Q.4 Have you ever met anyone famous?
I’ve had the privilege of DJing in pubs and clubs with some notable figures over the years – including Keb Darge, a legendary Northern and garage DJ; Craig Charles, known for his radio shows on BBC Radio 6 Music; and Chris Geddes, the keyboardist of the iconic Scottish band Belle and Sebastian. All lovely people I’m pleased to report.
Stay tuned as we continue to spotlight the amazing individuals who make Hot Tin Roof the purpose-driven powerhouse it is today! 💪✨
